Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a medical office setting provides essential clinical support to healthcare providers and ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical tasks, and coordination with the healthcare team to facilitate a smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Duties:- Perform patient assessments, including taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and current health concerns.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist in minor medical procedures and ensure patient comfort during exams.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic lab tests.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and report any changes to the healthcare provider.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient care by providing information on follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist in the management of medical supplies and equipment inventory.

- Current and valid LVN license in the state of Texas.
- Completion of an accredited LVN program.
